Born in 1979 in Paris and raised on the French Riviera, Emmanuel Giraud started his career into fashion photography after a successful experience as a project manager in the aerospace industry for 6 years. The early desires of fashion, photography and the cinema, combined with his business acumen, have led Giraud to fast become an accomplished fashion photographer, with a base in Sydney, Australia. Within a few years, Giraud was regularly shooting for many Australian and international renowned fashion magazines such as Oyster, Cream, Kurv, Karen, Culture, Zinc. He also taught Master Classes of Fashion Photography at the Australian Center for Photography. In 2011, Emmanuel’s successful creative vision is recognized by Australia’s most influential Fashion photographers, such as Georges Antoni, Jez Smith, Simon Lekias. He is nominated ‘Australia’s Top Emerging Fashion Photographer of the Year’. Emmanuel is also the founder and creative director of Australian leading online fashion magazine, Tangent Magazine. From the start, Tangent is a creative platform, on the luxury market, for his most signature styled editorials and a place of freedom for emerging and established fashion creatives. In that time, Giraud develops his vision with all types of new technologies, and directs short fashion films. Emmanuel’s editorial and commercial work evenly applies the principles of glamour and sensuality within a high-end fashion direction. He photographs with the same emotional and provocative style for men’s and women wear. Giraud’s location shoots and short films combine both a documentary and a cinematographic approach, within a tangent yet luxurious repertoire. Emmanuel’s advertising clients include the likes of Australian renowned Alex Perry, Camilla, Nicola Finetti, Alistair Trung, Shona Joy, Trimapee and Mink Pink to name a few. Emmanuel is now relocated in Paris, represented by Yumikoto and available for commercial and editorial assignments. |
